Tsingy de Bemaraha Reserve

The UNESCO World Heritage-listed Tsingy de Bemaraha reserve cast an almost immediate image of Madagascar, along with its lemurs with its impressive size and magnitude of its mineral stone forest created when the limestone seabed rose to create a plateau around 200 million years ago, which was little by little eroded by heavy rainfalls until it became its actual shape, karstic plateaus where groundwater has undercut the elevated uplands, gouging caverns and fissures into the limestone.
